Our Story

2018

SKL is born

Our journey began with a simple yet powerful idea: to create a platform that truly understands the needs of farmers. During our initial needs assessment, we discovered that farmers were seeking alternative financial sources beyond traditional banks and NGOs, as well as other existing options. This insight guided us to concentrate on three key sectors that are vital to rural economies: agriculture, livestock, and fisheries.

2019

Laying the groundwork

We took our first step into operations, introducing Shariah-based financing in two villages. Our model quickly gained trust and proved effective in meeting farmers’ financial needs while aligning with ethical financing principles.

2022

Acceleration begins

We expanded our reach, growing from two villages to covering an entire district. With increasing demand and positive impact, we scaled further in 2024, now operating across six districts: Natore, Rajshahi, Bogura, Jessore, Khulna, and Satkhira.

Today, Smart Khamari continues to evolve, ensuring that farmers have access to the resources they need to thrive. We remain committed to supporting agricultural communities with ethical, farmer-friendly financial solutions that drive sustainable growth.
